Project Updates & Releases | May 2025

Sun, Moon, Rising

Sun, Moon, Rising, a three-channel film installation by Aileen Ye, is now in the last stages of post-production. The work is an exploration of movement and the body as a site for paralanguage, ancestral chambers, and the beautiful ugliness contained in physical euphoria.I so loved creating the music for this beautiful film installation, and can't wait to share more soon.In the meantime, here is a still from the project:

Echoes Of Time

Echoes Of Time by Scarlett Perdereau integrates dance, digital art and sound to reflect on the cycles of life and time, and question our sense of evolution. The project has been developed in collaboration with digital artists and sampling some of my original music. First performances took place in March at Pegasus Theatre, Oxford, and we're excited for what's next.

Come Along for the Ride

If you're in Chicago at the end of June, don't miss Eco.Logic's new play Come Along for the Ride: A Journey Through Climate Grief, for which I composed an original soundtrack. The piece follows two women grappling with friendship amid an impending climate apocalypse as they learn to find hope and build resilience. You can get your tickets here.

Blowback

Last but not least, I'm about to release the original soundtrack for Ahmed Elhennawy's film Blowback on Friday, 23rd of May.
The film centers around a young Iraqi translator who, on the eve of the American invasion of Iraq, is forcibly conscripted into secret, high-stakes negotiations between the Iraqi regime and U.S. diplomats.
It was a special pleasure to work with soloist Hisham Essam - his contributions on the Oud brought a unique and essential dimension to the sonic tapestry of the film.
You can hear a preview of the soundtrack here.
